So Chika found a new band to obsess over recently, an a capella metal group called Van Canto. I listen to them quite a bit at work, where I get a lot of my ideas for writings and drawings. They have one song in particular, "Primo Victoria" which is about D-Day, but it always makes me think of the war D.Gray-man characters are fighting
Mali was kinda a perfect fit for this whole thing, partially because she's the most "religious" of my OCs, but also because the war takes the heaviest toll on her emotions compared to the rest. While Adelphe can brush missions off or Devan can spar to de-stress, Mali sees and remembers all the horrors she faces in this life. She appreciates that it gave her purpose, but it's difficult to see the lives she couldn't save
