Description

I would transfer all her stats and info here, but I'm not trying to break any records on description lengths |D it'll be long enough as it is

Some info that you won't find on the profile:

Scars - She received her vertical scar in her first battle at the Black Order. She wasn't used to battle, so when a Level 1 shot at her, she crossed her arms in front of her face to block it, left over right. The hit landed and she wasn't prepared for the force, so the edge of Tonn was jabbed into her brow, and when her arms slid down it resulted in a gash that went most of the length of her face. There was a void under her eye where her right arm blocked her face from the blade. Because of the depth it couldn't fully heal
    - The horizontal scar that crosses the old one came several years later, when she was trying to get to HQ. Between landing in the UK and reaching the headquarters, she was attacked by two akuma. She destroyed the first one easily, but when she took cover behind a tree the other one shot it, sending wood chips flying everywhere. One large piece got stabbed into her face, resulting in the scar
    - She has severe bruising at the sites where her canteens are. This is part of why her casual outfit has long sleeves and she wears pants. She also rarely takes the canteens off in public so no one sees said bruises

Eye - Right eye is slightly more closed than left because of scar tissue. Vision is also slightly worse than left, but it doesn't hinder combat or daily activities

Tonn an Dochais - Gaelic for "Wave of Hope". Adelphe named it when she was young, when the Black Order and innocence were a promise of hope that her family would have a better life

Tonn abilities - Tonn an Dochais is one piece of innocence, despite the fact it has two "appearances". Tonn exists primarily as the gloves, always in contact with Adelphe's skin. This is how it receives its orders, so to speak. Much like how innocence turns to dust when crushed or how Allen's followed him to the Asia branch, Tonn "fragments," the pieces that break off bonding with the water. This is what allows Adelphe to control said water. This transfer is visibly shown in the glove's appearance, as the more is added to the water, the appearance of the glove gets smaller and less complicated
In theory, if she ever forces full activation, all the innocence would be transferred to water, so it would have to be in contact with her skin to obey her command. Considering she'd have a low sync rate with the new water[see sync rate], in order for it to be a viable weapon it would have to pick up a lot of speed, so once it left contact with her skin and she wasn't in control it would still have enough speed and power to do damage. This scenario is problematic, as it would be very dangerous to have water at such high speeds in contact with human flesh
Regular blade - Her primary attack is creating fast-moving blades of water with a swiping motion of her arm. She can heat up the blade to boililng point for increased damage, but its natural temperature deals decent damage itself. This easily slices through Level 1s and the vulnerable faces of Level 2s. If in prolonged battle, especially with Level 2s, her arm becomes tired so the attack becomes weaker
Tempest - Her more powerful attack. The water spirals around her arm, gaining speed until released in one direction. Where the blade covers a wider area, Tempest is a very focused attack with more power. This is capable of dealing considerable damage to weaker-moderate Level 2s. The drawback is it saps more energy, so is best used as a last resort or to finish a battle
Healing Waters - This is the closest thing to a defensive power Adelphe has. If someone else has a wound, she can use Tonn to jump-start the healing process. Tonn enters the person's body, cleaning the wound and exciting the cells to encourage healing. It can expel the akuma virus, but only the amount it comes into contact with, which cannot be much unless it enters the bloodstream and moves quicker than the infection. In theory if someone is infected at the fingers or foot, she can expel it before it reaches the heart and completely eradicate it, but she must get to it within a second or two, so it's not practical. This power is even more draining than Tempest and she cannot use it on herself

Sync rate - Sync rate depends on how much of her innocence is in the water, how well she can command the innocence therein, and how much innocence has recently been transferred to the water. At the moment she can control what innocence is in the water at 90%, 70% of Tonn has been transferred to water, and she can control water recently added at 50%. These three factors result in an overall sync rate of 70%, though mixing the new water with the old, and her higher control of the old, allows for the newer water's rate to climb rather fast. With higher control, the more precise her strikes can be and the more she can affect the temperature

Canteens - When Adelphe first activated her innocence at age 11, she had no way to store the water that Tonn bonded to. When she went home and the water followed her, innocence following its accommodator, she put it in a small bucket she could carry around. Then she joined the Order, and they gave her a small canteen that would allow for more water to be added, but small enough that she could carry it from a belt. As it got damaged through the years the science division patched it up.
When she was 13 she needed another vessel to carry water in, and was given a canteen with adjustable straps to go around her leg. This didn't receive as much damage as the older canteen.
When she was 16 and came to the UK on her way to HQ, her old canteen was damaged in the same fight that gave her the scar crossing the older one, almost destroyed. When Adelphe got the headquarters and received her new uniform, the damaged belt-hung canteen is replaced with the one that straps to the arm, also with adjustable straps
Because her old canteen required her to have a belt or sash at all times, it's a force of habit. This is why when she's training and in her casual uniform she wears a red sash around her waist

Uniforms - All of her uniforms have had to differentiate from those of the other exorcists because of her innocence and preference. She's a tomboy, having grown up in pants, so she wanted pants for her uniform. As for Tonn's influence, she couldn't have full sleeves because Tonn's blade would slice them up.
First (age 11) - She had 3/4 sleeves to accommodate for Tonn's blade, but also to keep the same uniform
Second - Much as I would love for her to have one, Adelphe has no second uniform. She was on a ship sailing from America to HQ during the events in which the others received their second uniforms. That won't stop me from making a hypothetical second uni though (:<
Third (age 17) - In her new uniform, Adelphe needed something that would allow for her canteens as well as Tonn. As a result, it was decided no sleeves would be best. She also decided she wanted a longer coat than she had before. Adelphe also loves her baggy pants and would wear them even if new pants came with her new uniform. The boots are simplified combat boots
Training - Nothing special here, actually :'D Basic blue training shirt, uniform pants, sash, and boots
Casual - Our tomboy wouldn't be caught dead in a dress, so she wears her favorite pants, combat boots, a black men's dress shirt, her sash, and a red corset
----------------

So, when I finally figured out exactly how to rationalize Tonn and explain it, I was a very happy Dgray indeed. And not only for the fact that I could explain exactly why Del's not a waterbender |D but because I figured out a way to incorperate the old Tonn design without having to scrap it :dummy:

I admit, I've been struggling a bit trying to fully explain why she stayed in America for five years after joining the Order, but the explanation I always fall back on is that there are innocence and akuma in the Americas. Seeing as how it took around a month to travel from HQ to New York at the time, it makes sense that some exorcists would be stationed there in case of emergency, in my head canon at least  then after the death of General Yeegar, Komui requested she be transferred to HQ
My timetable may be off since I can't find many dates in DGM, but I've researched the hell out of everything to the point I dun even know anymore. I just wanted an experienced exorcist who didn't affect the events of the anime, so I had her train elsewhere :> I already have a newbie in Devan

And yes, her outfit refs don't have hands. Because Dgray was stupid and made her innocence on her wrists so every bloody time I draw Tonn, I get in some unwanted hand practice. And as you can see, Tonn steals the show at the bottom so that's eight, EIGHT hands I got to fail on :> so I had mercy on myself and left them off the outfit refs

And I apologize if anyone has trouble seeing Tonn's water form. I tried different colored backgrounds and this was the only one that clicked

It's a very interesting concept to have the Innocence mix with the water instead of "creating" it out of nothing.
I wish I could make such interesting Innocences :iconrazycryplz:
